Homecare Services

Whether a client is chronically ill, recovering from surgery, permanently disabled or simply getting on in years, there really is no place like home. At Cottage Homecare Services, we live by this motto. Since 1992, we've made it our mission to help you in the following ways:
We're flexible. We offer hourly shifts or live-in care—with no minimums. Service is based around the client's needs (our staff is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year—including holidays) and can be short- or long-term, periodic or continuous for both acute and chronic conditions.
We're affordable. It's hard to believe, but personalized homecare is often a less costly option than a nursing home or assisted living facility. Our staff creates a strategy to meet the client's needs–while exploring every available option to help cover the cost of service—including most major insurance companies and Medicaid. We'll help you complete the necessary forms, obtain prior approvals, and work to design a program that maximizes available benefits.
We're coordinated. Our homecare coordinators schedule staff and direct all client services to the needs and personality of the client. They confer with the client's healthcare provider, the hospital's discharge planner (if the client is hospitalized) and any assigned social worker—both to receive guidance, and to convey any health-related news.
We serve as a "second family". We realize you are welcoming us into your home. Therefore, we hand-select our staff not only for professionalism and strong work ethic, but also for their compassion, friendliness, and warmth. Our staff includes bonded, insured, and stringently pre-certified:
- Registered Nurses
Our RN's can provide full nursing care services including the administration of medications and treatments prescribed by a physician. - Licensed Practical Nurses
LPN's follow a plan of care under the direction of a physician or registered professional nurse; the LPN administers prescribed medications and treatments as well as taking care of hygiene needs and providing assistance to patients in carrying out activities of daily living. - Nursing Attendants (Live-in or Live-out):
Attendants work within the framework of the homecare plan under the direction of a supervising registered nurse, providing companionship along with personal hygiene and physical activity needs. Meal preparation and light housekeeping may also be provided.
We Also Provide:
- Homecare Coordinators
- Home Health Aides
- Personal Care Aides
- Homemakers
